The group was formed with the goal of realising the site-specific projects of professor Tomas Ziska (DAMU, Prague, Czech Republic). As a reaction to conservative, passive handling of some areas of the city with regard to development, DESTATIC was inspired to create installations in these spaces that challenge this neglect.
Project mentors:
Tomas Ziska and Pavel Storek (Czech Republic)

FALCODESIGN studio
Karadjordjeva 1/1, Belgrade
www.falcodesignstudio.com
Interior, industrial and graphic design, as well as work with young designers, marks the work of these two studios – Slavica Stanic’s Aodesign, and Bojana Rankovic’s Falco Design Studio.
Falco Design Studio, founded by Bojana Rankovic (who completed her interior and industrial design studies in Florence, Italy, and graphic design school in Belgrade) is based on the philosophical principle of Sophists that man is “the measure of all things”. Every individual has their personal view of the world, and the fusion of these differing viewpoints is what makes the final product complete. Falco Design Studio then is based on the merging of ideas, natural materials and congruence of the designed products with the company's signature aesthetic.
The studio is comprised of three sectors: graphic design, industrial design and fashion/interior design.
Our production philosophy champions the creation of unique products, supreme craftsmanship and respect for the natural materials used. Designs are custom-made for the individual, further encouraging our creativity, and their needs and personal wishes are respected and incorporated. |

Strategie Art – The centre for Modern Art is a unique cultural and artistic institution in Belgrade devoted to visual arts, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, photography, design, architecture, fashion and multimedia. The center was founded in 2003, and in 2005 it added a new gallery to its exhibition space.
Strategie Art supports the presentation of the Mediterranean project, created in 2005 in cooperation with the United Nations.
This project represents a new direction in our domestic art, and the intention is to show that our cultural region does not only belong to the Balkans but also to the Mediterranean, especially artistically, as the Mediterranean has always served as a means of exchange and affiliation with the art world for us, in terms of ideas, concepts and artists.
The Mediterranean project is designed to broaden our horizons in the art disciplines being featured, and highlight the European, Middle Eastern and North African influences in our artistic culture. |
