One of the most famous German industrial designers, Stefan Diez studied at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart, where he attained a Diploma in Industrial Design. He founded his studio in 2003 and since then has worked in various fields of design ranging from furniture, tableware, jewelry, bags, as well as exhibition design for companies like e15, Establishment & Sons, Moroso, Rosenthal, Wilkhahn, Authentics, Bree and Thonet. Some of his products have received international design awards, among others the “Designpreis der Bundesrepublik Deutschland”, the “IF Gold award” and the “red dot best of the best award”.
Since 2007 he is Professor for Industrial Design at the HFG Karlsruhe. With kind support of Wilkhahn, the visitors of Belgrade Design Week will have the opportunity to hear a lecture from Stefan Diez and see a small exhibition of his work that will be focused on the brand new Chassis chair designed by Diez for Wilkhahn.
