Studio Dumbar is an international agency with a Dutch heritage.

Design is at the heart of what we do. We describe our work as ‘visual branding, online branding’, meaning we create every visible expression of a brand or organization — offline and online. This involves expertise in strategy, communication, branding and process-management.

It is in our nature to look for the pure essence — in the people we work with, and the projects we take on. It’s a mentality that helps us to build a great team and achieve extraordinary results, no matter how complex or demanding a project might be.

People and portfolio

Studio Dumbar attracts talented individuals from around the world. Over the years, this has lead to an endless run of remarkable personalities and projects.

We have our homebase in the Netherlands (Rotterdam) and a liaison-office in South-Korea (Seoul). On average, we have 5 different nationalities and cultures in the team. Our portfolio is equally diverse, encompassing work for a variety of clients both large and small – from business and government to cultural and non-profit.

The studio is led by Liza Enebeis (Creative Director) and Tom Dorresteijn (CEO and Strategy).

Studio Dumbar’s colourful history began in 1977 when Gert Dumbar founded the company in The Hague.

Belgrade was an unexpected, inspiring and energizing experience. A very unorthodox & charismatic host, harems of beautiful hostesses, less beautiful speakers with their advantages too (mainly the speaking part) and finally some recognition of my talent as a DJ.  Biomega & KiBiSi colonized Belgrade for a brief moment. Actually, for the first time my KiBiSi partners, Lars Larsen, Bjarke Ingels & I were speaking at the same event – a seal of grandeur I gather. Some day I want to be remembered as the Caliph of Belgrade - & the designer bicycle pioneer.
