We are pleased to invite you to the inaugural exhibition of GLASS IS TOMORROW II  in Saint-Etienne’s Musée de la Mine (salle d’Energie) during the Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Etienne. The exhibition will be held from March 12th – April 10th, 2015 before leaving for Milan Design Week where Glass is Tomorrow meets Nude, Corso Matteotti 3, Milan, from April 13th – 19th. Next steps of the GIT exhibition : Nationalmuseum @ Kulturhuset in Stockholm from June 17th – August 26th, London Design Festival at the Royal College of Art – Battersea, from September 23rd-27th, 2015.

After a first touring exhibition in 2013, GIT II has been developing and more than two hundred works will be unveiled to the public in the course of 2015. These oeuvres are the fruits of reflection, experimentation and joint creative undertakings, achieved during six thematic workshops, each focusing on the meaning of beauty: mixed media (The Glass Factory, Boda, Sweden), liquid fusion (CIRECA / Domaine de Boisbuchet with The Corning Museum of Glass’s Glass Lab™ (France / United States), inside-outside (ESADSE with Verrerie de Saint-Just – Saint-Just Glassworks /Glasssolutions, Saint-Gobain Glass, France), silent luxury (CIAV-Meisenthal, France), light/house (Şişecam – Nude, Denizli, Turkey), and makers x makers (RCA with Vessel Gallery, London, United Kingdom, this workshop happening from March 23-27).

OUR BLOG

It was great that the speakers and the attendees were actually to share ideas and express their views as opposed to solely exhibition purposed fairs. It was very impressive, how successful and innovative individuals from various disciplines spoke about their worlds and how the audience interactively took part. To have attended and to have experienced this interaction at Belgrade Design Week made me very pleased. I would like to extend my congratulations to the BDW organizers due to this successful event.
