shop BUZZ / deltasport
Knez Mihailova 18, Beograd
year: 2006.

THE LOCATION of the BUZZ shop – which aspires to become a trendsetter – is in the main and most frequented pedestrian zone in Belgrade.THE INVESTOR’S IDEA about unconventionally combining displays of various articles and products has opened possibilities to explore a new and different approach to spatial organization of shopping and service provision.

Creating a flexible spatial concept serves as a matrix for constant changes in display of selling articles by engaging various designers. The idea of walking along a street, which opens a view of a series of scenes and ambiences, has been transferred to the basic organizational scheme of space. The design follows the principle of looking at shop-windows and street scenes – a voyeurism taken from the most frequented pedestrian street to the interior of a shop.

Each unit is a shop-window, a street scene or sight of a flat, while screens with fordable parts are used to connect and modify them, contributing to their mobility and transparency. The background of each unit consists of changing graphics that supports its theme - concept, sends a message, information.

od-do approach was to discover the original appearance of the space /an old 19th-century building/ and present it the way it is, as well as to make use of its potentials --- a brick vault ceiling has been left bare, as well as subsequently built annexe of concrete; the existing openings for natural light have been preserved, which make it possible to discern a typical atmosphere of interior of an old Belgrade block.
