Miles Newlyn is one of the most important typographic designers of today, a thinker and designer. He worked for the leading brand agencies on creating corporate identity for some of the most important international companies. Miles applies his talents to typefaces and fonts designs and he is famous because he moves the boundaries in corporative designing.
He designed many famous typefaces, including Honda and Unilever, and he is famous for helping the clients step out of communication strategies of 20th century and speak the language of hyperindividualism. David Carson, cult designer, describes his as ‘’typographic designer extraordinaire’’, but Miles is more prosaic. He says: ‘’I have always been a guy that designs for people, not for the market.’’
