Iva Stefanović
Iva Stefanović was born in Belgrade in 1978. From 2001 to 2004 she studied at the most renowned fashion academy in the world, the Istituto Marangoni in Milan.
There she completed a master’s in fashion design under professor and fashion designer Antonio Berardi, formerly chief assistant to John Galliano. She took part in group fashion shows in Milano with students selected from the Marangoni academy, and in an exhibition in London. She presented her work in Belgrade for the first time in 2002 with the project When Air Becomes Thin, with photographer Darko Dragićević. As of 2002 she has been a regular participant in the Belgrade Fashion Week. In 2003 she presented her Shine On collection in the Serbia-Montenegro Consulate in Milan, organized by Dragana Kunjadić, Vice-President of the Serbian-Italian Association. This collection was noted by Italian Vogue. She has also collaborated with the Italian designer David Mayer. Since January 2005 she has been working as fashion editor for the local market in the well-known fashion magazine Elle.
The brand that carries her name is concept-driven, but keeps well up with what is happening in the world of fashion. Her two lines are called simply: IVA STEFANOVIĆ for women and IVA STEFANOVIĆ MAN for men.
She also designs her own line of accessories under the same name – shoes, handbags and belts.
