Born in Belgrade in 1977.

Areas of interest: multimedia design, music production, branding.

By the end of the nineties he accomplished international recognition through collaboration with electro-jazz band “Linear Draft”. The band published several albums, as well as tracks for “Belgrade Coffee Shop” and “Cosmic Sounds London” compilations. The British magazine “Straight No Chaser” described their music as “sophisticated ambient drum’n’bass”.

In the world of clubbing he met DJ Coba, a famous Belgrade designer. It was through him that Istok discovered interactive design and multimedia. With Coba and Djordje Lašić he worked on a several projects at the ICPS Infinity agency, and learned a lot about contemporary design from them.

In 2000 he met Ivo Martinović, a creative genius, with whom he had amazing concord of ideas. Their co-operation resulted in several exceptional projects. The same year they designed “Italian Design Center”, the website which most consider to be the best site ever designed in Serbia. Their websites are primarily characterized by good atmosphere and are well directed, gluing the visitors to the screen until even the smallest detail has been explored. These designs have been awarded at many festivals: Loerie Awards, Design Indaba, Cannes Lions and International Festival of a Digital Art in Belgrade, to name some.

He also created animations not related to Internet, and made approximately 20 video clips.

He graduated at the Electrical Engineering Faculty, Belgrade University and did two projects related to his university training: AI software for human hand movement and software for early discovering of carcinoma.

His favorite film is Groundhog Day. He saw it more then 10 times. He likes recreational sports and trains Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He is interested in astrophysics.

He now works at the “New Page” think-tank studio and often collaborates with the “Profile” and several other agencies.
