AREX MARCIPAN

HISTORY

In 2005, Arex Marcipan completed the entire renovation of its marzipan factory in Osecina and, after servicing equipment and acquiring the most modern technology, began its own production of marzipan and other sweet products based on marzipan.
The production line of the factory spreads over 3000 square meters, and employs 50 people. In its production programme, Arex Marcipan currently has marzipan mass, chocolate covered dried fruit, marzipan desserts and bars with fruit and chocolate fillings, marzipan cakes, and marzipan figurines.

QUALITY

The combination of production technology and the acquisition of top quality almonds enable Arex Marcipan to produce top quality marzipan. Although expensive, the factory in Osecina uses modern means of production, which includes boiling and pasteurization. The quality of our marzipan has been proved by the satisfaction of our consumers, but also by a certificate from the German independent institute for quality control, which proclaimed Arex to be of the best quality worldwide, second only to a Danish company.
The Arex Marcipan factory in Osecina, as one of the first manufacturers of food articles in SCG, is currently entering its final phase of preparations to receive the ISO and HACCAP certificates necessary for the placing of products on the European market.
OUR BRAND IN THE WORLD
In 2005, Arex marzipan was placed among the 100 best Serbian brands according to the official selection of the Ministry of Trade. As such it has been invited to participate in leading world fairs of food products. Arex marzipan traditionally appears at the Fancy Food Fair, which takes place in New York; at the Anuga fair in Cologne; and this year it also represented our country though a unique brand at the Gulf Food fair in Dubai and at the Fudex fair in Tokyo.

THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE

Marzipan is not a traditional dessert in our country so that, even though Arex marzipan is the only manufacturer of marzipan, only 10% of its production remains in our shops. Serbian marzipan is already present in leading retail chains in Belgium (Colruyt) and France (Carrefour) and at the moment negotiations have reached their final stage for the entry into the Dutch market. From the second half of this year the central storage in The Czech Republic will also cover the Central European market. It is the third largest factory in Europe in capacity, and in quality it is the best. Arex marzipan is also the patentee of something that could possibly become one of the successful Serbian brands world wide – dried plum filled with marzipan, and covered with chocolate.
