Patrizia Moroso
Patrizia Moroso is the Art Director of the Italian upholstery manufacturer, Moroso, one of the most innovative and creative companies in this field.
Patrizia talked about the synergy between art and design. "If the object is different, something more than an object with function, then is possible to put design and art together", said Moroso. She also reviewed the rich collaborations with designers such as Michael Lin, Michael Wanders, Ron Arad, Patrizia Urquiola, Ross Lovegrove.

Erwan Bouroullec
Erwan Bouroullec said that they think about interior design like micro-architecture and try to change people’s sensations inside the space. Almost everything that Bouroullecs have designed is intended to be as flexible as possible. They don’t believe in decoration and try to base their work on fundamental ideas like making things simple.

Birgit Lohmann – Designboom

Birgit Lohmann reviewed the competitions organized by Designboom, which attract thousands of entries. Competitions are open to applicants from every country in the world, professionals and students, as well as design enthusiasts.

Arne Quinze
Founder of the Quinze & Milan, Arne Quinze manages dozens of projects all over the world. At the conference he reviewed some of them and revealed plans for giant wooden installations over Mississippi and in the centre of Paris. Always doing the different things, he said that he likes challenges and advancing into unknown territory.

Paola Antonelli
Paola Antonelli joined the Museum of Modern Art in February 1994 and is a Curator in the Department of Architecture and Design. Paola tries to represent the different aspects of design through exhibitions that she curates. She reviewed Design and the Elastic Mind exhibition and talked about the collaboration between designers and scientists, their innovative and surprising ideas and how designers help us to deal with innovations.

Alice Rawsthorn
Alice Rawsthorn, the design critic of the International Herald Tribune and and a former Director of the Design Museum, talked about what is happening in design today and which values will define design in the future.

Graham Fink
Graham Fink is the creative director of M&C Saatchi, founder of thefinktank company and Britain’s most radical art school. He stressed that in the world of pluralism and information overload is really important to get the message right - and brutally simple.

Mirko Ilic
Mirko Ilic gave an overview of his project “What’s between your legs, baby?”. He dredged up examples of cover art for albums, magazines, comics, books, as well as film posters, all with the same theme - through-the-legs shot.
